Director of Nursing, Central Texas

Ellen’s comprehensive nursing experience was formed from working in several different fieldsfrom geriatrics to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within the Baptist Healthcare System. Her extensive background led her to her transition into private care with the Nix HealthCare System, where she served as the Executive Director. In 2006, Ellen founded By Design Home Care, continuing her leadership path in the homecare industry. After many successful years, Ellen and her entire team joined Family Tree Private Care in 2019 with the mission of establishing our San Antonio branch.

Ellen is a Registered Nurse and member of the Aging Life Care Association. As an RN, she has always had a desire to offer quality care that grew over the years into her passion for improving the home care industry. Ellen lives in New Braunfels, Texas with her husband Jeremy.  They have three daughters, Kathryn, Caroline, and Courtney along with one son-in-law, Cliff.  In her spare time, Ellen provides outreach to abandoned and orphaned animals.
