Director of Nursing North Texas

Raised in Eastland, Texas, my path in healthcare was inspired by a family deeply entrenched in the medical field. My nursing career started 32 years ago as an LVN, leading me to pursue an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Amarillo College and Clovis Community College in 1998, followed by a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness from Grand Canyon University in 2020. My dedication to professional development is underscored by certifications in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Nurse Executive leadership from the American Nurse Credentialing Center, achieved in 2015.

My career trajectory evolved from staff nurse to senior leadership roles, including 19 years as Director of Nursing at Texas Health Resources, where I spearheaded initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and staff retention. Recognized as one of the “Great 100 Nurses in Texas” in 2005, I’ve also served as President of the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and continue to contribute to the nursing community through various advisory and mentoring roles.

After navigating the challenges of the pandemic as Director of Acute Care Services in College Station, I transitioned to a Case Manager role at Enhabit Home Health in the DFW area, prioritizing family and work-life balance. A proud mother of two sons in the Wind Energy Industry, my life outside work is filled with travel, community service, and outdoor activities, always with a spirit of joy and generosity.
