Chief of Staff

As the Chief of Staff at Family Tree, Sonia is responsible for providing strategic and decision-making support, development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and procedures across the organization. Sonia’s career in healthcare began in 2008 when she embarked on her journey to become an LVN. Her career shifted after accepting a General Manager position in the restaurant industry. Sonia spent many years helping her company improve service quality and industry sales for several locations while helping guide, train, and develop staff members into management roles. In 2017, Sonia returned to college and obtained her degree in Health Information Management.

Sonia’s passion for helping others began at a young age, when her grandmother became ill. Sonia found herself providing companionship, support, and care for her grandmother. Sonia also took on the responsibility of helping translate at physician’s offices and financial institutes for her family as her mother was Spanish speaking only, all at the age of 7.

Today, Sonia embraces and believes in Family Tree Private Care’s purpose to transform the aging experience.
