Out of over 100,000 Home Care companies in the United States and Canada, just over 1,000 — the top 1% — were chosen to receive this honor, based completely on consumer reviews, shared by seniors and their families.

Crowdsourcing Best Care Options for Seniors

As with many major investments and life changes in our digital age, we have come to rely on online reviews to guide our vetting process and inform our decision making. Part Consumer Reports and part Yelp, SeniorAdvisor.com helps our elder community members and their families as they plan thoughtful transitions later in life. The SeniorAdvisor.com staff verifies over 95% of the reviews posted to their site to ensure that the commentary represents first-hand experiences from real-life customers and family members. This human curation makes their platform one of the most trusted in the business.

To decide who qualifies for the Best of distinction, SeniorAdvisor.com considers both the average overall consumer rating as well as the number of new reviews received during the year. Winners are those organizations that have maintained an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars and received at least three new reviews in the year.
